How Are Pickleball Courts Paved?

• Grading: Grading is completed first to put the pickleball court on as level a surface as possible.
• Draining and Drying: Next, draining and drying prevent moisture damage at the base/foundational area underneath the pickleball court.
• Laying Aggregate: Aggregate pavement is laid to stabilize the soft ground underneath the court.
• Paving Court Layers: Size and depth of layers vary according to the dimensions of your pickleball court. Layers usually include crushed stone, subbase, binder, top mix, and more aggregate. There's some variation in composition and depth of these layers according to the type and condition of the ground itself. Our paving teams customize the right combination of each layer for smoothness, stability, and structural strength.

Once pickleball court paving is complete, it's time to lay the color system. Usually, a multiple-coat acrylic court flooring is applied. This flooring has all the necessary markings to orient players for a game, so pickleball games are fun and easy to follow.
