Massachusetts Lot Milling & Reclamation Services
As a result of freezing and thawing in New England, along with normal wear and tear, asphalt surfaces may need to be reclaimed or replaced.
Asphalt Milling
Asphalt milling involves the use of a milling machine to remove pavement to a controlled depth. The depth can be controlled so that only the exact amount of pavement is removed. The asphalt that is removed by milling can be taken to the processing plant for recycling. The milling process leaves the sub-base intact so new asphalt can be installed over top, creating a new, smooth surface that saves both time and money on a paving project. However, not all parking lots or roads are right for milling.
Asphalt Reclamation
Asphalt reclamation is commonly used as a cost-effective method of removing asphalt to its full depth. The process can be used to grind or pulverize the asphalt pavement as well as underlying layers on-site. With our reclamation equipment, our crews will pulverize existing pavement and the materials beneath it and combine them to form a strong, stable base for new asphalt. Materials are re-used, so reclamation is not only an economically friendly process, but an environmentally friendly one as well.
